MPB is pleased to announce that it has started work on a new scheme at Hockley Mills in Birmingham for Sir Robert McAlpine.

Located in the Jewellery Quarter region of Birmingham, the project involves the construction of 395 one, two and three bedroom apartments across six blocks, along with a new entrance to the Jewellery Quarter train station, parking spaces for 116 cars, and 28,000 sq ft of commercial space for retail, leisure or offices.

With a contract value of approximately £11m, MPB’s scope of work includes enabling works, all drainage, pad foundations, pile caps, gas membrane, ground floor slabs and concrete frame superstructure to the buildings including the construction of the stairs.

MPB’s programme extends to some 55 weeks, with completion expected in March 2022.
