New Project: HS2 Saltley

MPB is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a contract to complete reinforced concrete works to 1km of HS2 in Saltley, Birmingham by contractors Balfour Beatty Vinci JV, with a value of circa £16 million.

 

The works will encompass the construction of pilecaps, retaining walls and three bridge structures and includes a diversion to the River Rea, all adjacent to live Network Rail lines.

 

Some 3,600 tonnes of reinforcement will be fixed, and 22,000 cubic metres of concrete placed as part of the planned works, which commenced in February 2023.
