SAS13 bridge deck concrete pour complete

MPB have successfully passed a major milestone in a project to replace the SAS13 bridge on the Stechford to Aston (SAS) rail line, with the bridge deck concrete pour now complete.

The 350m3 concrete pour was completed to the deck of the 100m span steel truss bridge whilst the structure was positioned on temporary supports 4m above ground level.

Working for Skanska, MPB are completing all reinforced concrete, drainage and civils works to the replacement bridge, which will be largest single-span railway bridge in the West Midlands and is due to be operational by May 2022.
